Website plan

This is the template I plan to use when it comes to making the website for my magazine, I chose this template as it has very unconventional design when compared to other various websites. Something very unconventional about this website is its layout and where everything is placed which is an aspect I will try and retain. When it comes to making my own website I will have my masthead located horizontally at the top of the page with social media icons underneath as well as a Bauer media logo to its right. On the home page there will be a news section and the two magazine issues I designed. On the menu bar above you will able to click on the various links which will navigate you to different parts of the website.

I will include an about us section, where of course I give insight on the success and origin of “mosaic” as well as allowing the opportunity to contact mosaic, with a contact button. The section afterwards will reveal various fashion apparel where the viewers can navigate to a page showing the latest releases. Near to the bottom of the page will be a slide showing a picture of Issue 1 and 2 where viewers will be able to see behind the scene information, when it came to making these magazines. However the links to these behind the scenes information and fashion apparel will not work as I’m only required by the brief to make one working link. Finally at the bottom of the page will give the audience the ability to subscribe to mosaic for any new updates and promos.

On the menu bar, my working link will be labelled “coming soon” which will direct the user to another page with a video and information about what mosaic has planned in the future and how the model has had the greatest pleasure working with mosaic.

For inspiration, I looked at vogue which has a quite minimalistic design, the colours I will use on my website will be mostly white and black excluding the icons and photos similar to vogue. Personally I think this a very professional look but at the same time aesthetically pleasing and very clear as well as organized.

Location

For the first issue of the magazine, I decided to take photographs in an urban area as it fits with the street style I’m aiming for.
Where areas on the second magazine I shot the photos in a studio to where I can manipulate the lighting and make the photograph as professional as possible.

I used both locations here, in studio and out to meet the requirements of Bauer media
